For the XO Jonquet development in Majorca, Spain, Studio Contingency Plans collaborated with developer XO Jay to enhance their marketing campaign through evocative visual storytelling. Tasked with adding translucent drapery to the existing architectural renderings, we aimed to create a captivating narrative that teases the audience. The sheer fabric conceals the building within its urban context, offering only fleeting hints of the development beneath. This deliberate obscuration builds intrigue, inviting viewers to engage with the project as it is gradually unveiled in subsequent stages of the campaign.
Inspired by Majorca’s coastal breeze and vibrant hues, the fabric flows like a living veil, transforming static visuals into dynamic compositions. As the campaign progresses, the drapery is metaphorically drawn back, revealing the architectural form and details, much like a curtain rising on a stage. This layered reveal not only highlights the development’s design sophistication but also enhances the emotional connection with potential buyers, turning the marketing journey into an experience of discovery. Our intervention adds an ephemeral quality to the campaign, balancing mystery and revelation, and ensuring the XO Jonquet project leaves a lasting impression long before its doors open.
